Prairie Fauna
Kennels
Prairie Fauna Kennels Brand Development

A Hunting Dog Training organization in South Dakota that wanted a black and white logo that stood out from the Dog Training crowd. Most of the logos for this type of business are busy, lots of layers, and lots of colors. This young owner wanted something stark and clean that featured her premium pup. This design broke the norms and gives her a distinct presence on social media.

Mount Hermon Year End Appeal

Mount Hermon is a unique place with a demographic spanning 4 generations. Communicating the year end fundraising need, that not only tugs on the heart and the mind, but also resonates with each generational language was a challenge. This project was crafted with a calculated four pronged approach: written letters, a portfolio, a video, and a social media campaign.

Lakeside
Appeal
Lakeside Renovation Appeal

Not every appeal in a nonprofit organization has a direct emotional pull. In this particular project, the story that would connect donors didn't jump out right away. After digging deeper, the thing that stood out to me was that these rooms hadn't changed in 30 years. That became the hook for The Lakeside Zone—a Twilight Zone-tongue-in-cheek-riff that was part of a video and printed campaign that raised over $750,000 to renovate these rooms.

Voice Branding
Voice Branding

Every company has a voice, a style of telling their story. When I came to Mount Hermon in 2011, there was a juxtaposed voice. In person and on property, the voice of the brand was playful and inspiring. Online, it was clinical and factual. Over the last six years, I have been taking the voice of all publications, online and in print to align with the brand. The voice of Mount Hermon is playful, a little tongue-in-cheek, inspiring, and informative.

Store
Remodel
Ponderosa Lodge Store Remodel

One of the camp centers at Mount Hermon primarily serves Jr. High and High School students. Those students usually come with discretionary funds. The problem was is that we didn't have the right space or the right look for students to want to spend their money. Having retail experience and a brilliant team of designers, we ripped out what was the craft room and turned into a viable retail space. We merged the look of the physical space with the online store to create a seamless experience. Sales have gone up over 30% in the last year.

Event Design
Event Design

Immersive, Continuous, and Imaginative. My favorite thing to do in the whole world is to design and plan events. With a history in theater production - a blank stage and a solid theme is ripe with possibility. From stages, to music festivals, to themed parties, designing memorable events is where it's at.

Scripts
Scripts (samples)

Script writing, although not in any job description in the last 6 years, is a passion and a talent that I brought with me to Mount Hermon. The organization used my skill to create dramas for children, youth, and families to weave the themes together and give context to spiritual themes. I've been writing scripts, sketches, and dramas since 2004.
